Perunding Bakti has extensive experience in the design and construction supervision of roads and bridges. The roads and
bridges we have designed range from rural to major arterial highways.

The services cover the development of comprehensive transportation master-plan, feasibility studies, design and supervision of
construction. Futher, the Firm also collaborates with other prominent local and overseas consultants working in the field of
transportation engineering. Over the years, the Firm has undertaken a number of government assignment and completed them
successfully.
 

Examples of our works in ROAD AND BRIDGES
 
 


Jitra-Bukit Kayu Hitam Highway was part of the Federal Highway’s Route One Improvement Scheme. The Highway extends for 24km, starting north of Jitra and ending at the Malaysian-Thai border. It is part of the ASEAN highway in Malaysia. Then Jitra Highway replaced the original double-laned road with a new dual carriageway, including 2 bridgesand 3 pedestrian foot bridges.Additionally, the highway has several box and pipe drainage culverts. This project was undertaken jointly with two other local engineering consultants. Perunding Bakti’s input the Jitra Highway includes design of road and drainage and electrical services.

Kelantan Rural Roads stretch over 20 km with 14 reinforced-concrete bridges crossing padi fields, belukar and rubber
plantations. This project is part of the Malaysian Government’s accelerated rural-roads programme.
Perunding Bakti served as engineering consultant for all aspects of the project.

A stretch of KELANTAN RURAL ROADS


Intergrated Agricultural Development Project (Kedah Valley) is a Government project t odevelop the Kedah Valley. The project will involved the construction of 17 rural roads, totaling 80km in length and will include 2 prestressed concrete bridges.
Perunding Bakti was involved in the detailed design, preparation of drawings and tender documents.

KAPAR INTERCHANGE-NORTH KLANG STRAITS BYPASS connects nothern Klang to the Federal Highway. This
project is intended to reduce traffic congestion in the town of Klang and during the rush hours. Its covers 331km of bridge

EAST-WEST HIGHWAY, SEGMENT W7-KULIM-BUTTERWORTH is a proposed dual and single carriageway
extending for over 32km in te Kulim-Butterworth region. This highway will be linked by eight bridges. It is designed to make
the Kulim Industrial area more accessible to heavy traffic. Additionally, the highway is part of the extension of the western
sector of the East-West Highway to Prai Industrial area.

This project is a joint venture with other local and overseas consultants. The scope of work covers a comprehensive feasibility
study and design of the highway.
